GDMBR Day 1


Day 1 - June 10
20 miles
It's one day short of two years exactly that I started the last section of my pct thru-hike. Got to the start just at sunset. It was 105 today driving over from Phenoix. The sun set and the temp dropped to about 93. Lots of preying mantis on the road. Lots of rabbits. Lots of kangaroo rats, I hit one on accident, probably killed it, feel awful about that. After that I started yelling at them so they wouldn't run in to me, poor guys.


Called it a night after 20 miles, just so it didn't get too late, I want to get up and take advantage of the cooler morning air. In bed settled by 2230.
