GDMBR Day 2

Day 2 - June 11
35 miles before 11
Got up early and make quick time in to the first town from the border, filled up in water and headed out trying to get a few more bonus miles before waiting out the heat of the day. Well, it's was already over 100 by 11 so I called it quits, but there was no shade and it was too hot a heat to wait it out. The forcast doesn't look much better for the coming days and I'm not super fond of biking at night so it seems stupid to continue.  Maybe one day I can connect the border with the the rest of the route but for now I'll just restart on the Colorado border. Higher elevation, cooler, and less dumb. I just don't function well in high temperatures and it's a little too late in the season for this section for me.

Vultures waiting for me to realize there is no shade for the next 80+ miles.
First of 30 continental divide crossings (I'll miss five by hopping to the Colorado border.)
